2016 Conference of the European Society of Historical Demography

The 2016 Conference of the European Society of Historical Demography (ESHD) was held from 21 to 24 September 2016 at Leuven University, Belgium. The plenary session after opening ceremony, titled as “Lessons from the Far East: Japan,” was organized to commemorate 150 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Belgium as follows;

Many presentations on the latest research results with lively discussions took place during four days of the meeting.
