Title:"Long-Term Care in France: An Economic Analysis"
Marie-Eve Joel is currently Professor at Paris-Dauphine University, Director of the Laboratory of Economy and Management of Health Organizations (LEGOS). She is also the Director of the Department "Master in Sciences of Organizations” (3500 students ). She covers different research themes : social protection of elderly persons in Europe and the dependence risk, economy of chronic pathology and politics of public health, economic analysis of behaviours of the long-term care producers. In this lecture, she is going to talk about the different economic problems of long term care organization in France concerning informal care givers, patients with Alzheimer disease, industrialization of professional care and funding of care. Her latest publication is a chapter ≪Partnership working and finance ≫ of the book "Partnership Working in Health and Social Care" J. Glasby and H.Dickinson Ed,. Blackwell Publishing, 2008.
