Visit by researchers from Te Ngira Institute for Population Research, University of Waikato

On 13 November 2024, a group of researchers led by Associate Professor Polly Atatoa Carr and Dr. Jesse Whitehead from Te Ngira Institute for Population Research, University of Waikato, visited IPSS. IPSS researchers Masataka Nakagawa (Senior Researcher, Department of International Research and Cooperation), Ryo Oizumi (Senior Researcher, Department of International Research and Cooperation), Takiko Fujii (Senior Researcher, Department of Population Structure Research), and Yasuyo Koyama (Senior Researcher, Department of Population Structure Research) welcomed the visit of University of Waikato’s team and enjoyed substantive and constructive discussions over various topics concerning research projects being conducted at both institutes. The meeting concluded with a consensus on actively pursuing the possibility of further research collaborations between the two institutes.
