The visit of the members of Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population Policy

On October 11, 2023, delegates from the Presidential Committee on Ageing Society and Population - Mr. HONG Sok-chul（홍석철）, Standing Commissioner,Ms. JO Mi-joung（조미정）, Specialist, and Mr. HUR Jei-joon（허재준）, President of Korea Labor Institute - visited IPSS for research on Japanese policies to ageing society. Following IPSS DIrector-General TANABE Kuniaki's welcome address, Director of the Department of Information Collection and Analysis, KOJIMA Katsuhisa, explained about measures to cope with increasing social security costs, the long-term care insurance system, and employment of the elderly in Japan. Then, Dr. HISAI Seia, Senior Researcher of the Department of Population Structure Research , explained about regional development policies in Japan.
