Research Stay of Ms. Elizabeth Wilkins

From the 21st of February to the 20th of March, Ms. Elizabeth Wilkins, a Ph.D. student from the INED, stayed at the IPSS as a visiting scholar to conduct a collaborative study with Dr. Fukuda of the Department of Research Planning and Coordination. During her stay, she worked on a joint paper with Dr. Fukuda on gender equality and fertility in Japan. She also explored the possibility of using the National Family Survey data for her dissertation topic, grandparental childcare and adult children’s fertility. During her stay, she presented part of her dissertation work, Grandparental Childcare and Adult Children’s Fertility: A Non-Monotonous Relationship in France, " followed by a lively discussion with the IPSS researchers.
