The 2016 International Metropolis Conference

The 2016 International Metropolis Conference took place in Nagoya Congress Center from October 24th to 28th. Dr. Reiko Hayashi, Director of Dept. of International Research and Cooperation of IPSS presented as a keynote speaker in the Plenary Session “Asia’s demographic precipice: Migration, technology and greater workforce participation.” Yoshimi Chitose (Senior researcher, Dept. of International Research and Cooperation) and Masataka Nakagawa (Researcher, Dept. of International Research and Cooperation) gave a presentation titled “Demographic aspects of immigrant’s integration in Japan” in a workshop.
