EAPS Health, Morbidity and Mortality Workshop 2014

The Workshop of EAPS (European Association for Population Studies) Health, Morbidity and Mortality Working Group was held at the London School of Economics and Political Science, U.K. from 15th September to 17th September 2014. Under the general theme: “The continuing importance of inequality in health and mortality analyses?”, the participants presented and discussed recent advances in both methodological and substantive aspects. IPSS Researcher Masataka Nakagawa (Department of International Research and Cooperation) presented a paper with multilevel analysis of the association between neighbourhood characteristics and health disparities among the urban elderly in Japan, as well as exchanging information and discussing future possibilities for international research collaboration with overseas participants.
