III. Summary of Social Security Revenue by source, FY 2003


Fiscal year 2003 Social Security Revenue amounted to 101,252.6 billion yen.

( i ) Percentages in each category indicate that Social Insurance is 54.0%, Tax is 27.4%, and Other Receipts is 18.6% of the total.
( ii ) Revenue has decreased 14.77% as compared to the previous fiscal year.

“Child, family” refers to medical insurance in the form of a lump sum maternity allowance and child-rearing allowance, employment insurance in the form of parental leave allowance, day-care facilities administration costs and single parent family and disabled child allowance.
