The 2nd workshop on “International Migration and Development in East Asia” organized by Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA)

On 26th August 2016, Dr. Reiko HAYASHI, Director of Department of International Research and Cooperation, Mr. Katsuhisa KOJIMA, Senior Researcher of Department of International Research and Cooperation, and Dr. Masataka Nakagawa, Researcher of Department of International Research and Cooperation, participated in the 2nd workshop on “International Migration and Development in East Asia” organized by Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Hayashi and other researchers made a presentation titled “Country Report - Japan, International migration of care personnel in the context of global aging”. This report is a revised one that was presented on the 1st workshop in Jakarta on 2nd April 2016. They discussed the issues on international migration with the participants from Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia as well as the staff of ERIA.
