The visit to Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA)

On 11th February 2016, Dr. Toru SUZUKI, Director of Department of Population Structure Research and Dr. Reiko HAYASHI, Director of Department of International Research and Cooperation visited Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA) in Sejong city, South Korea. A discussion session on low fertility policy and migration issues in Korea and Japan was made with Dr. Samsik Li (이삼식), Head of Low Fertility and Aging Society Response Planning Group, So-Young Lee (이소영), Associate Research Fellow of Low Fertility and Aging Society Response Planning Group and Dr. Sang-lim Lee (이상림), Head of Population Research Center. The progress of collaboration between KIHASA and IPSS was verified and further direction was discussed with Mr. Yuku Kang (강유구), Head of Center for International Cooperation.
