Title: "The Economic Crisis and Health"
Mr.Mark Pearson (Head of the Health Division at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)) has engaged in the work on social policy at the OECD for many years.
Especially, he advised many governments on the best way to combine income transfers with social and employment services through his research and work. He has written a number of books
for the OECD including “Growing Unequal? “ and a series of studies of social assistance policies and of family policies.
In this seminar, titled "The Economic Crisis and Health," he talked about the sustainability of health spending, based on the evidence of the trend of health spending,
the influence of economic crisis on health spending, and he drew suggestion about the desired policy response for health expenditure for OECD nations.
