Title:"Child Support Enforcement: Does Policy Make a Difference?"
Chien-Chung Huang (Ph.D., 1998, Social Work, Columbia University) is an associate professor in the School of Social Work at Rutgers University. His research emphasizes on the role of social policy in affecting the well-being of children and their families. In addition to examining the effects of child support and welfare policies on the general well-being of children and families, he has also specifically explored the effects of these policies on welfare dynamics, economic security, and the behavior of nonresident parents. He is currently involving in several ongoing projects, including a project on evaluating New Jersey Child Support Training Program and a study on cost-benefit analysis of Early Childhood Mental Health Program. His research has appeared in journals including Child Development, the Journal of Human Resources, the Journal of Marriage and Family, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, the Journal of Population Economics, Social Service Review, Family Relations, and Children and Youth Services Review.
